All IT students are encouraged to join clubs, organzations and societies. The BYU, IEEE program is very active and is heavily involved in the IT program.

ITSA - Information Technology Student Association.
The Information Technology program has
recently formed a new professional
association, 2005, to serve students of the
IT program. The elected chapter president
for 2005 - 2006 is Rob Broadbent. Please
see Rob or Eduardo Bueno to sign up
for membership. The faculty adviser
to ITSA is Dr. Bailey.
IEEE Institute
of Electrical and Electronic Engineers

We are working to create a chapter
of the IEEE Computer Society on
campus. See IT program chairperson Bro. Helps to
support this effort.
ACM Association
for Computing Machinery

SHPE - Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers - As a national organization, the local SHPEchapter provides a unique opportunity for culturally diverse engineering students to participate with corporations in an effort to establish career networking opportunities. Chapter members also enjoy locally sponsored socials, seminar lectures by invited experts, and opportunities to succeed in both personal and professional decisions. Dr. Gonzales is the faculty advisor to SHPE.
