Human Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design (UX/UXD), Design Thinking, Augmented/Mixed/Virtual Reality (AR/MR/VR)
Dr. Redfearn has been a User Experience (UX) professional since 2009. His research centers on human-computer interaction (HCI), usability, and UX in both general and highly specialized expert domains. He has performed both short and long-term (3+ years) expert evaluation and ethnographic studies with organizations of all sizes in healthcare, workplace safety, education, Augmented/Virtual/Mixed Reality (AR/VR/MR), national defense, and emergency response. He also consults on projects in Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), project management, entrepreneurship, and related fields. His most recent projects include working with several organizations within the United States government, including the Department of Defense (DoD).
He currently works as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University (BYU) in the IT & Cybersecurity (IT&C) Program and is the Director of the Mixed Reality (MR) Lab at BYU.
