Dr. Ekstrom lives in Lindon

He is the father of 5 children, one of which is currently attending BYU working on a MS degree in Computer Science.

He has 5 grandchildren

 

Background:

Dr. Ekstrom brings with him 30 years of software developer experience and senior management.  He is currently the Program Chair of the Information Technology program at BYU. His research interests include network and systems management, distributed computing, system modeling and architecture, system development and IT curriculum and development. Dr. Ekstrom actively participated in the SIGITE committee that produced IT2005, the model curriculum for Information Technology that is one volume of CC2005.

MS Computer Science, Brigham Young University, 1976 (Thesis: A General Kernel for Multi-process Systems, Design of a kernel for a micro based network OS)
